Brave little Tucker will be missed

I received some very sad news today that Tucker David Patterson has passed away.  His contageous smile and beautiful soul will be dearly missed.  Tucker battled with Leigh's Disease with courage and bravery.  The determination and strength demonstrated by his parents throughout this time amazes me.  Kari made sure that Tucker's life did not go in vain by creating awareness about this dreadful, rare disease.   Kari you did an amazing job which I hold a great degree of admiration.  Tucker touched many lives in the community and across the nation.

Rest in peace sweet little Tucker David Patterson.  July 5, 2006 - September 16, 2010

Sweet little man Tucker Patterson

I paid a visit to see sweet little Tucker Patterson today.  In the Fall of 2008, Ladies Choice AutoCare hosted a special fundraiser for Tucker and his family.  Tucker suffers from "Leighs Disease", a rare mitochondrial disease.  Unfortunately Tucker is not doing so well and is in his final days.  He brought sunshine with his contageous smile to everyone who crossed his path.  I please ask our friends of Ladies Choice AutoCare to keep Tucker and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for the Patterson family and the community who has been touched by this beautiful soul.

Below is a a recent journal entry made by his father, David:

Are you ready for the winter?

As summer has come to an end, the cool season is just around the corner.  Hopefully our September will give us some extended sunny days (please!).  Now is the time to start preparing for those cold days ahead to prevent any unexpected breakdowns.

Here is my top 5 list to add to my 'To Do' list for vehicle care:

1. Check your antifreeze. Without adequate antifreeze, your car's engine, radiator and hoses are not suitably protected from freezing.  Antifreeze should be changed annually, or as recommended in the owner’s manual. Flush the cooling system every 24 months.
